Unfinished Bamboo Flooring

Those that wish to have more control over the finished look of their floor often favor unfinished bamboo flooring. Typically, an unfinished bamboo floor will have to be sanded, stained and coated at the install site. Whilst the unfinished variety of bamboo flooring can be purchased more cheaply than the finished type, the cost of installation will likely be higher due to the need to obtain extra materials such as stains and coatings and also because of an increased labor cost. It is recommended that a qualified installer only installs unfinished flooring. Another point to bear in mind with unfinished floors is that they are usually supplied without a warranty as such warranties will normally only apply to factory finished floors.
